Frequently Asked Questions

How can this service be offered at no charge?

SeniorPath receives a referral fee from the Senior Living Community that is selected. The communities we work with are happy to have us involved because we take the time to get to know our clients, which enables us to find a “good fit” that offers the best opportunity for the resident to thrive in the Community they choose. This is good for all concerned, especially our Seniors!

When we talk on the phone for the first time…

We will be asking you some basic questions that will help us be better prepared to help you when we meet. We will ask about your present living situation and other things that we can use to make our time together more productive.

What happens when we get together?

We will discuss in more detail what your needs, interests and concerns are so when we choose the Communities to tour, we are sure that they will all meet your criteria. In addition, knowing more about you will allow us to make the communities we tour aware of any special requirements you may have.

What is the cost of these communities?

There is no way to give you a quick answer. The cost of these communities varies by community, by apartment size, location, amenity packages and care levels. Once we know what you like, need and want we can discuss in detail the cost for the best communities that meet your needs and budget

Should we sell the house first?

It is best, for several reasons, to move into the Senior Living Community and then sell the house, however, we understand the financial realities that families must deal with and that may have a bearing on that question. We will go over this question in detail at our meeting.

Are we under any pressure to act when we meet?

There will be NO PRESSURE from us; however, there may be urgency that arises out of concerns about health issues and other factors that affect Seniors’ safety and well-being. We welcome the input from family and other advisors who can help us understand the timetable for any move.
